Scott Waugh joined DKA in 2012 and brings with him extensive experience in residential design in Texas and beyond. He earned a B.Arch. from the University of Houston (where he has also taught) and has worked with a number of Texas firms. On weekends, he applies his old school design sensibilities to custom building and restoring vintage vacuum tube guitar amplifiers for electric guitarists and provides live sound and recording services for Americana artists and venues. Although he has had a long history with dogs (beginning as a kid on a farm in the Midwest), current time and space constraints limit him to a single rescue cat named Patches, who lives a life of great comfort and leisure.
