dillon kyle
Principal
Dillon Kyle founded Dillon Kyle Architecture in 1995 in a mobile home outside Brenham, Texas, and moved the firm to Houston in 1996. A native Houstonian, Dillon practiced in San Francisco and New York before being drawn back to his hometown by the enormous possibilities presented by its spirit, landscape and openness. Houston’s established neighborhoods provide the majority of context for his work. The fluidity and constantly changing nature of the urban environment create challenges that the firm’s work seeks to address: exploring the middle ground, creating non-polarized architecture, and respecting Houston’s unique architectural roots without being driven by misplaced nostalgia. Dillon Kyle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University and a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University. He lives in Houston with his good buddy Sam and their three dogs, Misty, Gracie, and Charlie.
